We are located in Idaho County, in the heart of the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness, and the Nez Perce

National Forest. You have the unique opportunity to hunt elk, with a rifle, during their bugling season.

That's right!  The season starts September15th and goes through eaarly November.  During this time you

will be able to hunt deer, elk, bear and grouse.  In Idaho, we are still allowed to bait bear so you can spend

part of your day sitting on a bear bait while the rest is spent elk or deer hunting.  Or… you might choose

to take a break from hiking the challenging terrain to just sit on a bear bait.   We have both mule deer

and whitetail deer and our bear are color phase black bear with good success rates.  We also offer wolf

hunts, but the tags are on a quota basis, so the tags are available over the counter upon arrival and only

good until the numbers are met.  If you are flying, your hunt will include transportation to and from the

Lewiston, ID (LWS) airport, and if you are driving, you will drive into Elk City, Idaho.  You may also

choose to fly to Spokane, WA (GEG) or Boise, ID (BOI) or Missoula, MT (MSL) and rent a car, then drive

beautiful scenic routes into Elk City.  Once there you will be transported to base camp.  Upon arrival at

base camp you will experience a truely back-to-nature adventure with primitive accommodations of wall

tents and travel by horseback or foot.  Also included in your hunt is your guide(s), good ol’ camp cooking,

and care of your game with no additional trophy fees.  However, you will be responsible for any processing

or taxidermy work.  Your hunts are 8 days with one day in, six full days of hunting, and a day out.

If you are a do-it-yourselfer, then a drop camp may be just the thing for you. We will pack your party,

gear, and food into one of our four drop camp sites.  There you will find; a wall tent, woodstove, cots,

axe for cutting firewood, lantern and fuel, camp stove, and cooking utensils awaits your arrival.  You will

also be provided with a radio, so you have communication, with base camp, and will be required to check

                 in once a day.

Idaho has a great Junior hunter mentoring program for hunters 17 and under. To add to the tradition,

we offer half price hunts for anyone in school accompanied by a parent --- yes, even college students.
